AGROKUR

Oregano

Service Overview

Origanum vulgare, also known as wild oregano, is native to the Mediterranean region and generally prefers temperate climatic conditions. This plant can be successfully grown in warm and sunny areas. Soil preferences include well-drained, calcareous and slightly alkaline soils.
The plant attracts bees during the flowering period, which increases pollination. Harvesting is usually done when the plant is in bloom. The leaves can be used fresh or dried. Fresh leaves can be used directly to flavor dishes or dried and stored for later use.
