Rosemary belongs to the family of honeysuckle family called “Rosmarinus Officinalis”, which means sea moisture in Latin. As the name suggests, it grows especially in the seaside regions. It is a perennial plant with pale blue flowers that do not shed their leaves in winter.
Rosemary’s homeland is Mediterranean countries. The homeland of rosemary, which can grow in abundant natural conditions all over Europe, the Mediterranean and the Aegean Sea coasts, is known as Tarsus, Alexandria and Adana in our country.
